What Is an EGR Delete Kit?
An EGR delete kit is designed to eliminate the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve, cooler, and all related components. These parts are responsible for recirculating exhaust gases to reduce emissions, but they often lead to issues like soot clogging, reduced horsepower, and costly repairs.
By removing these components, our diesel delete kits help restore smoother engine operation, ideal for towing, hauling, or off-roading.
Expect up to a 20-30 horsepower increase, 2-4 MPG improvement, and a significant reduction in engine breakdowns—saving you money on both fuel and maintenance costs.

Installing an EGR delete kit is easy and DIY-friendly. Our kits come with color-coded components and QR-linked video guides, making installation straightforward—most installs can be completed in 2-4 hours.
However, for optimal results, we recommend consulting a certified diesel mechanic to ensure a smooth process. Once installed, your engine will run cleaner and require minimal maintenance.
Legal and Warranty Considerations

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will removing the EGR system improve my engine's horsepower?
A: Yes! Removing the EGR system increases power by eliminating exhaust gas restrictions. Expect 20-30 HP gains, improved throttle response, and smoother acceleration—great for towing or off-roading.
Q: Will installing an EGR delete kit void my vehicle warranty?
A: It may, as EGR deletions can affect emissions and powertrain components. Check your warranty details or consult your dealer before installing.
Q: How difficult is it to install my diesel EGR delete?
A: Installation is fairly easy for DIYers with basic skills, taking 2-4 hours. If unsure, a professional mechanic can help. No special tools needed.
Q: How do I maintain my engine after installing EGR delete kits?
A: Maintenance becomes simpler and cheaper. Follow your regular schedule: oil changes, air filter checks, and fuel system cleanings. Without EGR, carbon buildup is reduced, extending component life.
Q: Are there different EGR kits for different engine models and years?
A: Yes, we offer tailored kits for various engines and years, from 6.0L Powerstroke to EcoDiesel 3.0L. Just match your model to find the right kit.

So far so good with my AFM delete on my 2017 Silverado
5.3 with the factory sport exhaust. I haven’t driven far yet but I can already feel the difference at low speeds being my V8 mode is always on now. The light goes off after shutting my truck off so no battery drain. Before my truck had like a flutter sound at low rpm at speeds around 40mph I guess that’s when my V4 mode was kicking in. But instantly that’s gone now also just slightly pressing the gas pedal now the engine comes alive quicker than before. I’m very satisfied so far and for the 40s $ price range. I first looked at one for around 300 bucks. 5 stars I’m impressed thanks

Ordering process with short, sweet, and to the point; exactly how I like it. The product arrived when it was supposed to. I would definitely order from this company again.

Nice!

Stops the motor from kicking down to 6 or 4 cylinders which is supposed to add years to the motor. Thanks

Even before I purchased this, I was experiencing minor hesitation issues without the Check Engine Light. Also since I purchased this truck 4 yrs back, as I type this out, I had to replace the EGR within 3 months. Other vehicles owned with EGR have not experienced this level of issue when the code was checked on the CEL. Now I have been living with the EGR issue in recent months this time, until I determined what steps I wanted to take to permanently resolve this. After weeks of searching, and no real difference between everyone I looked at on the web, and it kinda was a no brainer, spend the money on a new EGR valve, or spend the same amount and eliminate, in essence bypass the valve emission system all together, especially since this truck at 35 years is not required emissions check in this state at 25 years.
My apologies for taking this much time to respond. The block off plate in this kit for my truck is not necessary. The plug on the sensor was removed, the slave was set, the wiring harness secured to a location out of the way of any issue, CEL cleared. After 3 days with some minor hesitation issues still existing, it was determined the vacuum line originally left alone might need to be plugged. To conclude since the vacuum line was plugged there were no signs of hesitation from standing start or any driving conditions requiring further increased pressure on the gas.
Thank you I am pleased with the response, the resolution of the EGR issue, full stop...

I bought the kit with the up-pipe to delete the EGR cooler feed inlet from the exhaust instead of the small disk that blocks it off. My mistake but, don’t get pinched like I did.

I run a small business, and it ain't always easy. Sometimes the best you can do is correct mistakes when they happen. I had a problem with the two AFM disablers I purchased (purchased together).
I contacted EGR and they acknowledged they did have an issue with some of them. They immediately sent me two replacements and the replacements are working fine.
In my opinion, that's how it should be. Thanks.
